Copper Spring Gold #6 is a 20.66 acre lode claim located near the north-center end of a vein system that runs over 2 miles in width and 7 miles in strike length. The gold-copper occurs in veins, veinlets, pods and sheared wall rock. The visible ore bearing rocks consist of visible gold in tiny specks. Abundant Chryscolla, sparse Azurite, Malachite & Turquoise occurs in the oxidized outcrops and small dumps.
Placer gold can be recovered in the gulches and from small pools of water from springs upstream. We have recovered placer gold from cracks, fractures and crevices deep into the bedrock. Heavy monsoon storms have moved thousands of cubic yards of material, exposing areas that have been concealed for many years.
