Yavapai schist is the host rock for the gold mineralization on this group of placer claims.
Gold is found in liminoite stained, vuggy quartz veins and stringers that traverse the schist. Some of the veins are concealed with thin layers of alluvium. Placer gold in the form of fines, flakes and small nuggets are found in desert washes, gulches and the slopes below the gold vein outcrops.
