Midway Gold #2 is located on the northeastern flanks of the Belmont Mountains. The claim is about 2 miles north east of the Black Pearl Mine and about one mile northeast of the Scott Mine. A large detachment fault strikes in a NW-SE direction and the veins are situated on high angle silicified faults that strike eastward and can be traced for over 4 miles. Minerals consist of (gold up to .10 opt, silver to 7 opt., copper to 1.5%, lead, and zinc to 20% combined). The ore occurs in pockets, quartz rich veins, thin to wide shear zones along strike. About 65% of the veins are covered with a thin layer of alluvium but can be traced by float. There is an old covered shaft.
Midway Gold #2 is a lode claim located about 25 miles SSW of Wickenburg in Maricopa, County. Wickenburg is a full service town with a beautiful golf course and airport. Access is a paved road for about 18 miles with the remainder a good dirt road with a few washes that get cut up from time to time with our monsoon storms. A local rancher has a windmill and corral about 1500 feet south. You might be able to cut a deal with him for water to work with. I would not recommend drinking it. The Rancher tows a large stock trailer about once a week up there and you might be able to get a small high centered RV or travel trailer but not likely to get a big rig. Please check the last few miles prior to attempting access.
On the next business day, you will receive an email from us that includes: your receipt, a copy of the topographical map for your claim, a link to your claim plotted in Google Earth and the GPS coordinates for your claim.
Within 2 weeks you will receive your claim packet in the mail that will contain hard copies of these documents as well as the Location Notice and a full size topographical map. Upon payment in full, we process the claim into your name with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and County.
You are responsible for the annual maintenance fee due to the BLM, payable from January through August, effective upon date of purchase, in order to keep the claim active. The current rate is $200.00.
