- Our test results recovered fines and flakes of placer gold in the wash south and downslope from the small hand dug trenches and pits. The largest nugget that I have recovered in Arizona, a 1.2 ounce piece was found downstream from this claim (see photo).The claim is situated about 3 miles northeast of the northwest trending detachment system that was the plumbing system for gold, silver and base metals, copper, lead & zinc.The gold bearing rusty zone appears to be striking northwest and dipping steeply to the northeast. Our sample results taken from rock chip exposures and small dumps indicated some of the highest gold values found in this area. The mineralization to the northwest and southeast appears to be concealed by a shallow alluvial cover.
- Gold Peak is a 20.66 acre lode gold mining claim located in western Maricopa County about 21 air miles southwest of the town of Wickenburg. The claim has high centered two wheel drive access with great camping sites nearby. Elevations on the claim average 1850'.
On the next business day, you will receive an email from us that includes: your receipt, a copy of the topographical map for your claim, a link to your claim plotted in Google Earth and the GPS coordinates for your claim.
Within 2 weeks you will receive your claim packet in the mail that will contain hard copies of these documents as well as the Location Notice and a full size topographical map. Upon payment in full, we process the claim into your name with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and County.
You are responsible for the annual maintenance fee due to the BLM, payable from January through August, effective upon date of purchase, in order to keep the claim active. The current rate is $200.00.
