Placer gold in the form of fines, flakes, pickers and occasional nuggets can be recovered in the main wash and the small gulches that drain into the main wash. On our best test result's we avoided areas of deep gravels and focused on bedrock exposures, especially extracting gold bearing material from cracks and crevices. Many of the gold-bearing quartz veins and shear zones are covered with alluvium but by processing the gravels for placer gold many of these veins are exposed for hard rock specimens. A small gas powered rock crusher can reduce fist-sized rocks to dust in seconds. There is a large amount of quartz float that has eroded from many concealed veins.
The Treasure Gold #1 is situated about 1200 feet northeast of the Hidden Treasure Mine main workings and butts into their northern claim boundaries. The host rock is altered Yavapai Schist that runs many miles in a north-south direction and hosts many large and small mines, lode and placer. This highly mineralized trend traverses the south flank of the gold-rich Bradshaw Mountains. A beautiful claim, great access and gold. What more could you ask for?
The Treasure Gold #1 a 20.66 acre unpatented lode mining claim located between Black Canyon City (a full service town) and the small town of Mayer. The well maintained county road that runs southward from Cordes and the Crown King road cuts through the west end of the claim. The southwest corner post of the claim is a few feet from the Crown King road. Government Spring Wash, a major drainage flows through the southwest end of the claim. Government Spring Wash drains a large area of gold-bearing veins and zones and acts as a giant catch basin for placer gold that has eroded from quartz veins and numerous gold-bearing shear zones on and off of the claim from the northwest, west and south. The old mining town of Cleator is located about 4 miles to the WNW. Great access for large RV's, travel trailers and even your new Mercedes or old Chevy. I-17, the major highway that connects Phoenix to Flagstaff is about 4 miles due east of the claim, further by road.
On the day we process your deposit or payment in full, you will receive an email from us that includes your receipt, a copy of the topographical map for your claim, a link to your claim plotted in Google Earth and the GPS coordinates for your claim. This grants you immediate access to your mining claim.
Within 2 weeks you will receive your claim packet in the mail that will contain hard copies of these documents as well as the Location Notice and a full size topographical map. Upon payment in full, we process the claim into your name with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and County.
You are responsible for the annual maintenance fee due to the BLM, payable from January through August, effective upon date of purchase, in order to keep the claim active. The current rate is $200.00.
